Outstanding portable scenic winter snow landscape model railroad layout in N scale 1:160.

1 - This model rail way layout is carved manually out of light weight insulation foam. The base size is 120 x 60 cms (47.2 x 23.6 inches).

2 - All the buildings and railway station, as shown on the photo, are assembled by me from Metcalfe kits.

3 - The double tack railway is balasted Fleischmann rails, and covered with Vallejo light modeling paste. When the paste is still wet the rails are cleaned carefully with tissue paper. The turnouts are hand operated. The landscape is in winter

4 - The pine trees are from Bush and carefully decorated by me with Vallejo light modeling paste and sprinkled with Woodland scenic soft flake snow. The deciduous trees are made by me from twisted steel wire or wooden pins, with poly fiber, and or coconut fiber, covered with Vellejo light modeling paste and than sprinkled with Woodland scenic soft flake snow,

5 - The landscape, roads, side walks and open fields are covered with white acrylic paints. Mountains and rocks are carved with a hobby knive out of insulation foam. The bare rocks are getting a watered down black wash, and blow sprinkled with fine turf for realistic effect.

6 - The water surface is painted black, finished off with acrylic varnish, and sprinkled with Woodland scenic soft flake snow.

7 - Included are 2 transformers and 2 speedregulator, allowing you to operate independantly 2 trains at the time, whilst you have 2 other trains waiting on the sidings. The layout is analog.

8 - The processing time to make this layout is between 80 to 90 hours over a period of 6 to 8 weeks, between the various stages of drying of glue, paints, and assembling.

9 - Shipping with DHL Express, delivery takes about 3 to 5 days depending on destination, is free and included in the price. A strong double layer corrugated carton is used for packaging to fit the base of the layout so it cannot move sideways. Soft tissue paper balls are used to fill the open space in the box. For safe transport reason some of the trees are packed on top of the layout. You can easily insert the trees into the insulation foam.
The total weight of the completed railway layout including the double layer corrugated carton box does not exceed 10 kilos.
